Here at JSA, we provide a myriad of services to recruiters and contractors, but we know there is always one priority which must happen no matter what: the processing of payments.

No organisation is immune to IT failure or issues with building infrastructure. Because there is no room for failure when it comes to ensuring the thousands of contractors using our services get paid, we have a number of safeguards in place.

We are exposed to the same risks as any other business of our type – fire, flood, theft, IT outages etc. While rare, we have sought to rule out any risk what-so-ever, providing complete assurance to recruiters and contractors alike that our service is always-on, no matter what.

We have a number of safeguards in place to ensure business continuity in the event of a failure of telephony, IT or a problem with access to our physical HQ. We have partnered with Sungard Availability Services to build in the necessary resilience to the way we work.

  • IT resilience is provided by our private cloud which means we never lose our ability to make payments to Umbrella contractors and manage the accounting needs of our limited company clients.
  • Fully redundant telephony system which means that we can automatically switch to our secondary system, should the need arise.
  • Satellite office space which is permanently connected to our datacentre means our mission critical teams can work seamlessly from another office, should our HQ be completely unavailable.

Though issues are rare, it’s important to us that our customers know we have full operational resilience.

We have had to instigate the use of our satellite office on two occasions, both of which were beyond our control. On one occasion, a wide-scale telephony issue in the Watford area (where our HQ is based) lasting several days created potential issues for us. On another occasion our building flooded. These occasions tested our resilience procedures and proved we could operate without a hitch, regardless of circumstances beyond our control. In both instances, customers were completely unaffected.

This robust level of availability is a significant differentiator for JSA, few providers have gone to the same lengths to ensure fail-safe procedures for business continuity on this level.
