STATEMENT ON CORONAVIRUS AND BUSINESS CONTINUITY
Statement on Coronavirus
A statement on coronavirus and business continuity from our Chief Executive, John Hoskin.
In recent weeks we have been actively reviewing our business continuity procedures in the light of growing concern about the spread of coronavirus.
Our Board of Directors have monitored relevant information sources including the UK Government, NHS, and WHO and taken proactive action based on published guidance. We have also reviewed our existing business continuity measures, which are extensive anyway, to ensure we are ready to minimise the operational impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
I am very proud of the way everyone in JSA has stepped up to the challenge, demonstrating a firm commitment to continue to deliver the quality of service you would expect from our firm at this difficult time.
The health and wellbeing of our workforce, our agency partners and our contractor clients is our highest priority. Specific steps we have taken include:
- Tested and confirmed our ability to maintain business critical functions, such as the processing of payments, on reduced staffing levels, should our own workforce be affected by coronavirus.
- Because of the government’s direction on social isolation, and guidance to isolate if family members display coronavirus symptoms, we are preparing to enable a large number of staff to work from home. We are also restricting business-related travel and have the digital collaboration tools in place to replace face-to-face meetings.
We are communicating regularly with our staff to ensure they are aware of the latest guidance from the UK government to help prevent the spread of coronavirus.
- Additional handwashing facilities and sanitisers are in place, the cleaning of our office environments has been stepped up and guidance issued to staff with a clear directive not to come into work if they or members of their household have coronavirus symptoms.
Operational resilience has always been a high priority to us. Whilst it’s unlikely to be needed, we would like you to be aware that we have full operational resilience with extensive back-up to IT, telephony and even additional workspace available to us, should the need arise.
All of these measures are designed to enable us to support our staff and customers and provide our services with minimal interruption during this difficult time.
Whilst the coronavirus situation is unprecedented, I believe that the fantastic can-do attitude of JSA’s people will prevail.
We will continue to update this page as the situation unfolds but if you have any questions or concerns, please contact us on 01923 257257.
